We all know that Rome was not built in a day. The reason Im mentioning this is because no great feat can be achieved in a day. It takes years of hard work and persistence from one to achieve such feat. Same is the case with Mr. Sudhir Moravekar, the chairman of Panoramic group who is the story behind phenomenal rise of Panoramic group of hotels across the globe. Two decades ago, even he was not sure about his future as he was a person who was struggling to meet his ends. He worked on a daily wager basis which was not sufficient for his family and he had done all kinds of odd jobs just to feed his family. Its never known as how educated he is or which college he attended coz back then no one cared about him. Now the head of multi-millionaire group, everyone is trying to get some information about him. Though he is media shy, he did divulge some personal details about him few years back.
Since it is already mentioned by many and is available over the net easily, I will not be mentioning about it. Instead I would put some light in to his hospitality business. His rise was not sudden but was step by step. He started with the hospitality business, coz he believed it is only business he was good at. Initially the hotels were raised and an investment scheme was initiated wherein he raised substantial amount from people on the condition that the investors can utilize the hotel rooms for accommodations without any cost. This idea clicked and rest as we all know is history. Panoramic group of companies include Panoramic Universal Limited (PUL), Pancard clubs limited (PCL) and Panoramic Holidays Limited (PHL). Panoramic Universal Limited manages the hospitality and Information Technology business. Currently the group owns more than 20 hotels and resorts under its brand. They are acquiring more and more hotels and are branding their hotels/resorts under the brand of United-21. They also have a brand Spices & Sauces for their restaurant and Waves for their lounge bar. They have their hotels and resorts in major tourist places like Goa, Alleppey, Kodaikanal, Ooty, Kaziranga, Mysore, Shirdi, Pench and Kanha. Apart from business in India, they do have substantial business in United States of America with around five hotels and one each in Thailand and New Zealand. Such is the growth of Panoramic group that slowly and steadily they are becoming a brand with many hotels and resorts under their name. Sudhir Moravekar would have never thought initially that he would grow to such an extent that his business will start flourish even in other countries. Upon inquiring he credits this success to his principles which he follows right from birth. The three principles are Honesty, Hard Work and Intelligence. Im compelled to say that his three principles worked wonders for him.
It is not yet over, it is learned that Sudhir Moravekar is still in acquisition spree. PUL would be the company to look after in the coming decade as it is bound to soar as travel and tourism is booming since this millennium.

New Cuba Hotels To Open 25,000 New Rooms In 2020

Recent government sources from the island have unveiled the countrys intention to build a further 24,000 hotel rooms in order to keep up with growing demand from increasing tourism to the island. With the popularity of Cuba holidays increasing rapidly every year the island has experienced a boom in tourism arrivals, with tourism figures growing every year.

In 2011 the island welcomed around 700,000 more visitors indicating a substantial growth of 7.3 per cent more travellers enjoying holidays in Cuba last year. This figure is expected to keep growing in 2012 and see further growth in the coming years. In addition to the regular tourism markets in Europe and Canada responsible for sending the largest number of tourists to the island, other source markets are emerging, with Russian and South American travellers now leading the way for growth. To cope with the expected ongoing growth the islands tourist infrastructure needs to expand considerably and it is for this reason that tourism officials have decided to start construction plans on new Cuba hotels in order to cater for the increased flow of tourists arriving to the island.

Cubas Vice Minister of Tourism, Alexis Trujillo, has confirmed that the building of these new hotel rooms is being funded by foreign and Cuban investment. He also confirmed that the island plans to increase the diversity of Cubas tourism product with the 13 new golf courses planned, all of which are in different stages of negotiation talks at the moment, as are the construction of new theme parks to spring up around the whole island.

Regarding foreign investment, Mr Trujillo explained that of the currently existing 58,000 hotel rooms in Cuba, 6000 belong to 30 companies of mixed ownership (divided ownership between Cuban capital and foreign capital) and they await further Cuba hotels to be constructed by these kind of consortia companies.

During a press conference called in the occasion of Pope Benedict XVI to Cuba, Trujillo highlighted the increase of foreign tourist arrivals to the island over the last few years, whose figures have experienced an average growth of 10.5 per cent since 1990.

Four hotels in Cuba have recently been honoured with receiving the Primo Awards 2011, in recognition of their exceptional facilities and services and awarded by German tour operator Neckermann Reizen, one of Germanys most important travel companies and part of the Thomas Cook travel group, among the largest in the world.

The awarded Cuba hotels were located in three of the islands most popular tourist hotspots and beach resorts, with two winning hotels in Guardalavaca, one in Varadero and one in the pristine key of Cayo Santa Maria, an exclusive beach resort growing in popularity among travellers seeking a more paradisiacal Cuba holiday experience in an isolated key that is still connected to the mainland by a causeway. The awarded Varadero hotel was the Iberostar Varadero, the Melia Las Dunas was the awarded resort in Cayo Santa Maria while the proud receivers of the award in Guardalavaca were the ultra-romantic Paradisus Rio de Oro and the secluded, peaceful and serene Playa Pesquero.
